“Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,” –Acts 4:29
Bold: “to be brave, daring, courageous, intrepid, valiant.”
Does that word describe you? If you are like most people you probably say no. To be bold implies a certain element of risk. Boldness demands action. You can never be bold without stepping out or speaking out.
What is it that holds us back? Why are so many pastors and Christian leader intimidated to speak the truth today? Why do we tend to shy away from the absolute truths of scripture? It could be that we have succumbed to the prevailing spirit of the age –radical relativism. We live in an age that resist moral truth and labels those who speak it as irrelevant and out of touch.
The early church exploded on the scene with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. It was born in the morally relative secular society of the Roman empire. The church was consider a cult , persecuted and rejected by their Jewish brothers. They were marginalized as fanatics and treated as criminals by the Romans. But, the church could not be stopped. Within a 150 years half of the Roman empire had been converted and the known world evangelized. There is a need today for pastors and Christian leaders to speak the word with boldness.

Proclamations and Prayer
“Father, in the name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit I want to thank you today for pastors and leaders. I pray that they will stand in the pulpits of America and preach Your word with all boldness. I ask that they would not be ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. In Jesus’ name, Amen!Download the full Prayer Guide for Day 19
