The Secret Place
“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” – Matthew 6:6
Before Jesus taught us how to pray, He taught us where to pray. He called it “the secret place”. Jesus describes the secret place as a place where you close yourself off from all distractions to be alone with God. Hidden there is special invitation to an interactive encounter between us and the Father.
Personal revival and renewal starts in the secret place. It is there alone with God that we find Him waiting for us. The moment you get into the secret place you are in the immediate presence of the Father. It is in those moments that we hear Him the clearest and are empowered through His grace to walk in the world. The promise of the secret place is that He sees in secret and rewards in the open.

Proclamations and Prayer
“Father, in the name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit I know that apart from You I can do nothing and my life is dry and desolate without abiding in Your presence. Forgive me for not making the secret place a priority in my life for I know that it is the place where I meet with you and You meet with me. This day, I commit my heart to return to my first love and first priority. Teach me, Lord, to consider intimacy with You the greatest measure of my success. Release a fresh fire of desire in my heart for you. In Jesus name, Amen!Download the full Prayer Guide for Day 4
