About Us

Lewis and Rachel Hogan

Founders/Directors of United Cry

After pastoring for 25 years, Lewis and Rachel Hogan birthed United Cry in October of 2012. Founded with the mandate to protect life, promote the role of pastors in America, and to pray for revival and awakening, United Cry uniquely focuses on pastors and churches to take responsibility for the spiritual condition of America. United Cry has hosted 2 national prayer gatherings with pastors and spiritual leaders at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. These national gatherings focused on pastors being a voice in the culture and leading our nation in repentance. United Cry also held a Texas state-wide prayer gathering called Praying at the Heart of Texas, which was the first of 50 state-wide prayer gatherings in the heart of each state.

In addition, Lewis and Rachel are founders of DFW Prays, a network of 500 churches in the Dallas Metroplex that covers government, culture, and churches in continuous night and day prayer. Each week United Cry sends out prayer alerts concerning our nation, life, and revival that reaches over 30,000 pastors and leaders. Each Thursday Lewis hosts a national prayer call to pray for the nation. Lewis has founded the J2 Project which equips lay people and churches for times of crisis by bringing resources, chaplains, training, and prayer together. In addition to being Founder/President of United Cry, Lewis and Rachel also serve on the board of America Prays which unites over 20,000 churches in the U.S. to five prayer points for government, revival, and reconciliation. Lewis is on the National Prayer Committee and served 5 years as the Texas state pastor for Family Research Council. Lewis has been married to Rachel for the last thirty years and is the proud father to three sons, Joshua, Jacob, and Jonathan, daughter-in-law, Brianna, and Granddaughter, Emmie.

Through prayer alerts, prayer gatherings, and partnering with like – hearted ministries, United Cry equips pastors and Christian leaders with the resources to see spiritual awakening in America.

Rachel and Lewis Hogan – Bio

Lewis and Rachel Hogan founded United Cry in 2014, which is a national movement of pastors and Christian leaders dedicated to reclaiming America’s future. United Cry DC16 is the first national event focused on unified prayer and civic action with pastors and Christian leaders for the purpose of spiritual awakening.

The event goals include prayer and repentance for our nation; awaken a spirit of revival; inspire pastors to be leaders in their communities and build unity through praying as “One Nation Under God.”

Lewis and Rachel Hogan have served in ministry during their entire marriage and have been passionate about the presence of God, the power of prayer, and the cry for revival in our land. After serving many years in pastoral ministries in the local church, Lewis and Rachel Hogan founded Awakening USA in October 2012.

Awakening USA was started to promote the role of pastors in America, to protect the life of the unborn and to partner with leaders and congregations for a revived church and a great awakening in America.

Along with leading Awakening USA Lewis and Rachel serve as regional Bound4Life directors for Texas and the Texas state pastors for Family Research Council. They believe that the core issues of America are not political but spiritual and believe that the issue of life is key to an awakening in America. They are the proud parents of Joshua (23), Jacob (21), and Jonathan (13).
